Mulifanua Wharf

 

Departure point for cross island ferry from the main island of Upolo to the larger but less inhabited island of Savai'i. If you have a close look at the top photo, you can see the rain coming through the open windows @ 45 deg.

We copped the tail end of cyclone Thomas, which made for very rough seas. The ferry was rolling through about 35-40 degrees either side & backwards & forwards (there's probably technical names for it, but imagine a roller coaster).

The ferry service was cancelled for a day & a half after our journey.
